Spelling Bee - is an educational organization that encourages youth, parents, teachers and community at large to participate in the educational process and celebrate academic achievement in spelling.
Math Kangaroo - is a volunteer run, not for profit organization which aims to spread the joy of mathematics. The CMK Corporation is administered by mathematicians and teachers of math who cooperate with other professionals to provide an atmosphere suitable for motivating students to learn.
Art Thru Recycling - Have lots of old stuff? Want to get rid of toys no longer in use? Wish to teach your kids about organization? Keep kids busy with this fun DIY arts through recycling old stuff at home. Crafting is always fun for kids, this class will project some fun that will absolutely enhance their thinking abilities. You will be amazed by seeing smiles on your kiddos feeling proud to invent something new from old.Ballet -Kids will learn the fundamentals of ballet in an age-appropriate setting. Run Jump Throw - is a national program developed by Athletics Canada that teaches fundamental movement skills and develops physical literacy. Using track and field inspired games, activities and skill challenges lead by instructors specifically trained to teach the fundamentals of running, jumping, throwing
Youth Yoga - Youth can enjoy the many benefits of Yoga. Please note the location of this class is LAKERIDGE school.
Little Scientists - Come and participate in fun experiments based on age appropriate understanding of science. Please make special note of the location of this class at ST. LUKE school.
4-H Explorer - Organized by the 4-H Club. The motto is "learn to do by doing". By providing 4-H’ers with mentors and role models who lead by example, kids are given the opportunity to enjoy meaningful, positive experiences that build confidence, positive self-identity, self-esteem and a sense of achievement. A 4-H Explorer has the opportunity to take part in activities such as canoeing, snow shoeing, fire building, painting, gardening, etc. The activities take part in the Lakes, Parks and the Woods zone (Lakewood, Lakeview, Briarwood, Rosewood, Wildwood, College Park, East College Park). *$95 goes directly to 4-H to cover fees for the year. $30 goes towards expenses - there may be extra costs for certain activities. Pickleball -runs TUESDAYS from 6-7:30pm at St. Bernard AND on FRIDAYS from 7:30-9pm at Lakeview gym. This registration allows you to go to BOTH nights.
Pilates - A multi-level class by a certified instructor that will strengthen your core and back, creating better posture and body awareness while improving all over tone. A Pilates or yoga mat is required as well as comfortable clothing.Classes will be done barefoot.
Zumba - is a fun, high-energy fitness class suitable for all ages and fitness levels. It is exercise in disguise! Listen to some great music and have a good time while getting fit. No experience is necessary. Wear comfortable workout clothes and indoor running shoes.
Adult Volleyball - runs both Tuesdays and Fridays. You can register for one night but can came both nights. Please note classes can be cancelled due to school activities and is beyond the control of the LCA.
Adult Bootcamp- Bootcamp involves a variety of high intensity workouts.
